A gold locket speaks louder than words. Just finished re-reading Wind in the Willows.

A whimsy based on what might happen if a child of one of our heroes made an unlikely friend. Probably a oneshot. Possible a prequel to Wartback, a caravan and an odd selection of companions.

Imagine if Ratty had gone with the Wayfarer Rat after all about his telling of the sea and the song of the riverbank. Ratty decides to find out for himself as he hears the song but what would happen if he did? Twist on the original story Wayfarers All.

These are the 2 chapters I wrote for my own Wind in the Willows sequal following on from Willam Horwood's final novel in an attempt to bring some of my fav childhood characters back.
