Hikaru was a MVP regional soccer player when he met Sai. He took up go on the net to appease the hopeful ghost. Three years later, Sai left and Hikaru got an offer to the B-leagues. Now, a year a half later, Hikaru encounters the go world again by chance.

When God gives Hikaru his wish, he begins his journey again with a new goal in life, to prevent Sai from fading. Prequel to "Trial and error".
