The pregnancy charm only seems to work if you're actually wearing it. Kally probably just took it off. Just because she's had one difficult birth doesn't necessarily make her barren or anything (and she is most assuredly not). At any rate, the other two children were probably very carefully planned, adequately spaced and they probably organised to have an entire army of medics on hand, just in case. If you notice the ages of Lillias's younger sibs, they were born when Kally was the 'proper' age for children by Imperial standards. I don't think that the concern in 'A Meeting of Magics' is that she'll never have any more children, but rather, that they shouldn't have them so soon, when Kalasin is still extremely young for children by Imperial standards.

I kinda thought that Kalasin couldn't have more children because it would probably kill her, and Yevegen could not life-chase again yet you say that Kally bore two more children after Lilas could you please clarify. In a meeting of magics Kally goes to get her pregnancy charm as well.

Oooo, this story sounds really cool! I can't wait for the rest of it. It seems kinda funny to be reading about a grown Lillias in one story while she's still a baby in the other, but who cares, huh?
