I love Arwen's horse in the movie. He is a stallion with tons of muscle. He is a very proud sure-footed animal.

I have read some of the other reviews, and I was surprised that people found the misunderstandings in the last two chapters to be funny rather than angsty. Perhaps it was the way that the misunderstanding was set up - the bit where Alfiel misinterprets Nifael's message seemed a bit abrupt, although I cannot think of any way that you could have done it better. But the reactions afterward - from Thranduil, Legolas, and even the guy who drops the bowl - were just perfect, in my opinion. I could feel their anguish, and the characters responded to the situation just the way I would expect them to.

Great story! Poor Thranduil. Poor everybody...And then for all their grief they get to celebrate afterwards...And what happened to Darian? Maybe he heard the songs...Great story, even if it did leave a job for my imagination :)

I hate to tell you, but the whole 'dead prince' ordeal was highly amusing. I mean, when the reader knows the whole situation, it's damn hilarious. I laughed out loud. I mean, I felt bad for Thranduil (gotta love him!) and Legolas (speaks for himself...) but it turned out more humorous than angsty.

i quite enjoyed it. A good read, adn a good laugh.

Nicely done with the finish to the story - that's always the hardest part. I loved the bit with Arwen stealing poor Asfaloth, and the idea of having Legolas and Arwen resting against the final troll was just genius. And poor Nifael - it was plain that over-earnestness would lead that muddled elf astray.

LOL! Elwen knows it's supposed 2 b sad, but tis 2 funny! legolas thinks his father is dead and his father thinks he's dead...

*has already used up two boxes of kleenex* That was so sad! *sniffle* Poor Nifael! He's so funny though..always saying "my Lord"... ugh...had so many things to say, but can't remember them! Oh, wait, is it Tirnan or Tirana? Or are they two different people?

Now THAT is a worthy happy ending! My only critique is I'd've liked some description of that momentous meeting between Legolas and Thranduil. That's something worth fleshing out, though the silence spoke volumes too.
