Add another hooray to see "2084" back! This is a really fun story and hope to see additional chapters up soon. The only nit to pick is a little proof-reading to check spelling might be in order (the word "hear", for instance is used when "here" is the word..) BUT it's easy to overlook and the story and characters are great!

So sorry to see that you've abandoned this. It is definately interesting. You could have an interesting epologe where present T'Pol Tucker are discussing these events. If you have the energy I'd like to see this continued.

Yeah. . after I wrote the review I went back and glanced at the original date, and saw that it was written before "Fight or Flight." And I guess not everyone has had the benefit (misfortune?) of being as closely acquainted with southern culture as others of us.

I do hope there's some reason given. As long as it doesn't come across too . . . convenient. . . it may make it very interesting. Didn't Trip say in F or F that his grandfather was the one that nicknamed him Trip?

Anyway, other than the name thing, it is very sweet, and I do look forward to more.

Actually..I wrote these chapters over a year ago. I stopped to write my other story 'Gateway'. So my story predates the episodes explaination. I could go back and edit, but rather than do that I'm going to give an explanation in a later chapter for why Trips grandfather is called Trip. Sound better?

Um. . .

There's no way Trip's grandfather would have been called "Trip." "Trip" comes from being the third, triple, Trip. I believe it's even been explained in an episode. If not, it's a basic fact of southern culture.

The story's nice, but the whole same name in both scenarios just reeks of plot contrivance.

There is no reason to put quotes around Trip's name.
