ACK! Poor Samwise Gamgee. This was so well written. Like it could've been in the movie, I loved it!

Phantom...wow. Schizophrenia Gollum-style, and it has never been better. Gollum...such an under-used character and here you portrayed him perfectly. VERY nice job.

I, like Sam, am literally trembling from head to foot. So well-written, so powerful, it drew me in- I really felt I was there, feeling every fear, magnified a hundred times, the enclosing dark, the loathsome madness, the terrible uncertainty of everything, confusion and fear... man! Man oh man. Am I gonna have nightmares tonight. Wow.

So haunting. So haunting.

Phantom, this was just terrific! (Quick, email it to PJ before the final cut!). I really enjoyed the interplay between my favorite and least favorite characters. (I, also, cannot fathom Frodo's devotion to Gollum, but that's a separate matter). I think of all the fics I've read of yours, this one had the most powerful descriptive edge. Bravo!

Yay! Another well-written Gollum fic involving the little cretin's sanity! Or rather, lack of sanity.

Sam must be scared shitless. He and his 'beloved master' are being guided by a mentally unstable mutantion with a penchant for strangling things. And Sam knows it.

I liked! It sorta reminded me of this song I heard in the Jekyll and Hyde musical. I forget what it's called, but it involved Dr. Jekyll swtiching back and forth rapidly fron Hyde to himself, and they kind of sang threats to each other. It was cool, and so was this! :)

Chilling! You perfectly captured the relationship between Gollum and Sam - Frodo, too. I would love to read one of the "mind games" between Frodo and Gollum. I'd like to write a Gollum fic myself, one of these days, and you've provided wonderful insperation!
