abuseThis was really funny! I enjoyed it a lot, it was really interesting to read for Filch's point of veiw. I'm glad Snape was in the story, I love that man. This was a very entertaining story, you did a really good job. For some strange reason though, all the words were down the side, rather then evenly horizontal.

Please, I think you'd do an awsome Filch. Would you concider RPing as him at this Harry Potter RPG site I go to? Give me your answer, I'd be happy to hear from you!

I think I'll go read some of your other Filch stories, depending on the timeline...

abuseReally good. In hindsight we of course know that a lot more was going on between the false Moody, Snape and the invisible Harry at that staircase, but Filch didn't. Very good description of what it must be to be a squib between such terrible wizards. I enjoyed Snape's and Filch' chat afterwards, where Snape to his pleasure got an argument against Potter and the cloak. I would have loved to read the next-day conversation between Filch and Dumbledore, about Peeves and stolen eggs.

abuse“Listen to me, Filch. Peeves had absolutely nothing to do with
that egg! It was POTTER!”
“With all due respect, Professor, you always think it’s Potter.”
“With no respect whatsoever, Filch, you always think it’s Peeves!”

Hehehehehehehehe...With no respect whatsoever. That's SO great.

abuseGood scene. One of my favourites in the book and definitely very in character for all concerned.

A unique approach using Filch as the POV and interesting to see how he reacts to the two angry wizards when he has no power of his own and is in close proximity.

abuseA first Filch ficlet I've read, but it's very nice. I'm more of a Severus fan, but Filch may make his way to second. Thank you for posting it.

abuseWow, that wasa great insight in to the moment. I thought it was great how you described the power between Snape and Moody. Excellent!

abuse:-) I love this! I wondered how Filch would react to that scene, and you captured it perfectly. Must read Squib Apprentice one of these days . . . but what with juggling several fandoms, plus Real Life, that might be a distant day. *Sigh*

abuseNice one – I haven’t seen a Filch PoV before and both the characterisation and the skilful interweaving of the GoF canon was very convincing. It was fascinating to see Harry and especially Snape through the filter of Filch’s imperfect understanding.

I like the way you portray his ability to sense magic, his respect/awe at the powers of Moody and Snape, and his apprehension at being stuck between them. He did strike me as being a bit more pathetic at times than I expected, especially during the conversation with Snape at the end, but that’s only because I’m so used to seeing him through the eyes of the students.

I’m really wanting to read more of your Filch stories now.

abuseThank you , thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I feelt so blush-y when I tread this I couldn't review anything for weeks. I'm back to my natural colour now, so expect messages.
By the by, second movie just arrived in Greece and it SUCKED.They don't even say Filch is a Squib, Ron acts as nothing more than comic relief, and Dumbledore looks just about to keel over --oh, wait, he did.(I'm feeling evil)Plus, I'd like to see anyone fearing Azkaban in the next film, what with Hagrid waltzing into the Great Hall like he'd spent two weeks at a holiday resort. Duh.

abuseNice perspective... very realistic. I liked Filch's headache and his worry about uncontroled magic- lacking a power everyone else around him has must be kind of unnerving. The conversation after the scene Harry hears was interesting- good characterization of both Snape and Filch. Very well done! --Tigerlily :-)

abuseI find the fact that Harry is allowed to go traipsing around the castle and as long as he isn't caught, he remains unpunished, absolutely appalling. Hilarious, yes, but appalling. Only one more instance why Dumbledore makes me grit me teeth.

*wipes brow* Now that those bitter words are out of me, I'm all about praises; excellent way of reviewing the fourth book, and I hope to dear Salazar that Filch *does* tell Dumbledore exactly what he told Snape. Because undoubtedly, Snape is bitter (and perhaps rightfully so) of the fact that Harry, one particular Gryffindor of many, is allowed a cloak while his Slytherins, even if they had one, would not be allowed it. And certainly not one given personally by *Dumbledore*!

*mouths soundlessly* Obviously I've been spending too much time letting this simmer. *grin* Sorry, your fic just makes the anti-Gryffindor in me rile up.

abuseYou've summed two characters up neatly in just two lines:-
“With all due respect, Professor, you always think it’s Potter.”
“With no respect whatsoever, Filch, you always think it’s Peeves!”

Keep writing!
