I agree with how you said, keeping Hikaru IC means that nothing would happen. xD I was kinda disappointed that nothing happened between them in the actual story too, but at least they got a little moment during the grad. that was pretty cute. ^^

i suppose since HnG focuses on Go and not really anything else so that's why nothing happened between those two. Hikaru was so focused on Go all the time that he didn't really pay attention to anything else. and i suppose, since the ending was very open, you could imagine that later on when he settles more as an adult he would notice her. xD

I just had to find the best Hikaru no Go fanfic in this entire archive at the very end. Great characterization and character interactions. Six years later, I emerge from reading this manga looking for some closure to Hikaru and Akari's relationship, and finally find it in this piece which you wrote for that very reason. I could ask for nothing more.

This has always been my favorite Akari/Hikaru fic out there and I don't think I've reviewed it yet, but anyway here it is!
Haha. I remember I first read this a really long time ago and now I come back and read it again every once in a while. It was quite lovely, and very well done. Good job. Hopefully more fics like this will pop up in the Hikaru/Akari fandom.

Great story! I loved it! I thought that the Hikaru/Akari relationship was very real in here, therefore much more believable than some other HnG romance fics I've read. ~^ But tell you what, don't be so worried about how OOC the characters are. OOC can sometimes mean good things like creativity cuz you bend their personalities YOUR way. ^_^ Once again, awesome job! Rarely any mistakes! Keep writing! You're a really good writer!

That's the HnG ff I've been waiting for. I always think as close as Akari is to Hikaru, she should have done more than just put up worrying looks when Hikaru started to miss his games and behaved strangely. I don't agree that 'nothing could happen' - you actually made something happen (in a very sweet way). The kiss does make Hikaru think more of what Sai used to say - the 'Akari likes you...' sort of thing, and that's sweet. That brings back fond memory of Sai mixed with growing awareness of Akari's love for Hikaru himself. This is just the missing piece of puzzles I've been looking for. Thanks for such a heart-warming piece.
