Yay, an update! This has to be one of my favorite fics ever! I love your treatment of the boys, and I really like what you're doing with Julia. The writing is nice and clean, and the characterization is spot on.

Yay! I'm so glad to see this! I've pretty much stopped reading fanfics altogether, now. I know it sounds ridiculous, but this story is really the only one that I still feel the need to check in on. And after years of 'checking in'--an update! It's like Christmas felt when I was five!

For real, though; awesome work, as always. Really, really, really. I know you've probably got other things to write, but I was really psyched to see this, tonight! Really great writing, throughout this whole story.

It never gets old. It's almost amazing that you've been writing (and I've been reading) this story for what, seven years now? Prelude is truly a work of art. No other text, even those I mark as favorites on my all time list could have possible kept my attention as long as this had circumstances been the same. As always, you've submitted excellence and as always I eagerly await the next chapter. I'm at the very least happy to see that you haven't given up on this story as I had thought. I've been hoping for a year now that you would continue. I guess all I can really do is to hope that this hiatus means your personal writings (or whatever) are going well. I was wondering, though--if you continue this story, will it include the events of Titan?

This is one of the best stories I've ever read. Were it a novel, I'd buy it. You're a great writer. I've been following this story since the beginning and it's been some time since it started and still isnt over but I dont feel like I've wasted a minute of time reading it and re-reading it. Good job. Great workd. Uber kudos to you.

I absolutely love this story! I’m a big fan of the Pre-Bebop stories that revolve around the Vicious, Spike, and Julia love triangle, and that’s what initially got me interested in your story. But I really like that you’ve started from the very beginning and gone more into the characters personality. I haven’t finished all the chapters yet, but I can only hope that you continue writing and update as soon as possible. Oh, and don’t forget to throw some cute Spike and Julia stuff in there as well.

Wow. So... this is only one of the most well-written fics I've ever read. Not only is it entertaining and attention-capturing, but you seem to make alsolutely no mistakes in flow or grammar and in the storyline the only mistake I can see is Spike and Vicious' age difference, but you already knew that. I adore the way you differ Spike and Vicious from one another, how similar and yet different they are. It really fits that they're half-brothers, at least in your story. Your original characters are well done and nicely developed and easy to see clearly in the reader's mind, and I see no signs of any Sues anywhere in your story. All in all, brilliant job. You have foreshadowing slipped in here and there that fits perfectly, and I liked Jet's little cameo earlier on. You've captured Spike and Vicious' personalities a little differently than I expected, but you've done them well. The only thing that poked at me a little were the cat-like descriptions you gave to Vicious earlier in the story. Spike was always the more cat-like of the two, as he is often paralelled to a cat in the story (plus, he sleeps a lot like a cat) but nicely enough you've added in the snake comparisons to Vicious. Your Annie fits the one in the anime perfectly, and from what little we saw of Mao, nicely done. I am excited to see you write more Julia and Lin and Gren, and all of those folks that we're certain to see in your story. Excellent story. I can't wait to read more!

YES! An update!

So glad you updated. I love this fic. One of the few focusing on the ever-so-sexy Vicious and his past. And you've crafted it so well it blends right into the series, making this a wonderfully plausible backstory. Definately gives me new understanding to the relationship between Spike and Vicious.
