You make an interesting case with this one-shot, now making me wonder if he ever wanted to be the digital emperor while he was the digimon emperor. Now I know it wasn't his fault that he was the Emperor in the first place, but could Kari have pulled him out of his misery? If you made this into a real story, I'd love to see what kind of ideas you could make with that.
