Chibi Pika 2007-06-27 . chapter 1Geez, I -really- need to go to bed now. =P (Admittedly, I never would have ended up reading all of these things if I hadn't been browsing through my fic's favoritted list. So, uh...yeah.
An intersting point. I agree with ya wholeheartedly on the 4kids stupidity part (not that PUSA is doing much better *cough*), and yet somehow, some part of me likes the insane amount of popularity that Pokemon did, and still does, attain.
But all the plastering of crappy cutesy "official" art everywhere and the pencil cases and macaroni boxes? Yeah, that I coulda done without.
Although I never would have gotten into Pokemon were it not for Lunchables. xD

Captain Wolf 2007-03-26 . chapter 1You know, I've never really been a full-blown fan of anything. I'm kind of go-with-the-flow. If I want a game, I'll play it. This is sadly an issue of society, and although it doesn't really effect me, it really disappoints me how people censor it out. People get way to much in other peoples' business these days.
An interesting topic, and well written. |
LittleMewLugia 2006-03-28 . chapter 1Very very nice, in fact addresses an issue that I and two friends have and have to deal with. I'm 32 this year, one of my friends (the most obsessed of the three of us) is 37, and the other friend is 49, so to those who say Pokemon is for children-they know NOTHING! Thise who've never tried it should try it, they might like it!
I had another friend down this weekend, who didn't know much about pokemon. At one point, "Pokemopn 20" got put on, and at another she was avidly watching me play Crystal. and now she wants a copy of the game to try and a game boy to play it on because she got interested and she's 33 in April.
Incidentally, I love the cuddly plush toys as well...

neogirl7900 2005-06-27 . chapter 1Yah, I hate the cencors, I like them filtering out the content but was it really necessary to filter out everything else?
Don't you DARE flame the toys, though. |
BansheeGirl 2004-12-10 . chapter 1Nice job! I don't tend to read poems on , but something about the summary of this just happened to interest me. anyway, i'm glad i took the time to read it! you really captured the feelings of a lot of people, well done.
Till Next Time,

 Tear22 2004-10-23 . chapter 1Nice. Very nice. |
Martial Arts Master 2003-06-16 . chapter 1I got your review of my fanfic. This was a nice poem. I disagree with you about the censors part, however. I've seen Japanese anime...and I've seen English versions. All I have to say is that I'm one of the few people who likes dubbed anime as well as Japanese anime, rather than one or the other. This poem was nice anyway, though. I agree: it's the bigot that's brainwashed by the arbitrary definition of "cool". Bigots don't realize that different people have different ideas about what's cool or what's not. Take you and me, for example. According to your profile, you like squirrels better than cats and foxes. I like cats and foxes better. But that doesn't mean that I disrespect your opinion, or that I don't think you have the right to have that opinion. After all, it's the differences in opinion that make our world great. |
Kenny's Goddess 2002-12-21 . chapter 1I told you that I liked this when I read it on the paper you wrote it on, lol.
However...because I am a nice older sibling, and I am trying to get my signed review giving to 800 tonight, lol, I will tell you on here how much I like this.
It's well written. You've been taking lessons from the best. XP (No...I'm not cocky...what makes you think that? :P)
Seriously, now, though. I liked it. Nice work.
::huggles Butterfree::
Keep writing.

Opal Amari 2002-12-14 . chapter 1Wow... I wish I had that kind of courage to speak out against the Poke-haters... I actually like a lot of the toys, and some of the books/comics. And I used to like the show. Thinking back to those glory days of Pokemon bring back incredibly great memories...
However, I truly hate the censors, and the people who generalize anyone over the age of 12 who's into anything that the public considers for kids under the age of 10 as "stupid" and "babyish". I mean, c'mon!!! Look at the big picture, people! NObody's getting any younger, so why can't we just play with whatever the heck we want to without being beaten into the mud about it??? I go to one of the worst schools in my county (judged by the kids, not the education), and even mentioning Pokemon will get you tossed into the rejects group. It's horrible, really. But let me tell you that I am THRILLED that there are other people out there, like you and many who reviewed, who will willingly stand up and defend what you want to like and enjoy. EXCELLENT job.

Nimmi 2002-11-23 . chapter 1If you want my opinion, the toys and anime are all right, it's just that everyone who writes anti-pokemon stories is just...I'm sorry I can't say it...rating... |
GIR's Cupcake 2002-10-29 . chapter 1*sniff* That is SO true! I despise how they comercialized the heart and soul out of Pokemon and made it into simply another possessiobn, insted of what it truely was: a gaming masterpiece. |
BabyCharmander 2002-10-26 . chapter 1Very nicely written! I still like the toys though. *looks at her Charmander collection* |
shadowphantomness 2002-10-26 . chapter 1Hi! Oh my gosh, this is such a cool introspective fic! *Smiles* Oh, and by the way, the sequel to 'Dragon's Tears' is up, hehehe. it' s called 'Dragon's Silence." And I can't update the prequel yet because of a ff.net ban that won't be revoked until november. Grr... |
 Adriana Chan 2002-10-26 . chapter 1oooohhh i like this...i no what u mean... stupid baka censors....grrrrrrrr |
