grangerpotter 2009-05-25 . chapter 8 OMG I don't believe it, you finally finished the story! I first read it in 2003, 2004? And waited and waited and waited in agony for the next chapter. I distinctly remember sending a number of Howlers begging you to finish the story. Since then a few times a year, I always think of the story but do not always remember the title (what with me getting more ancient by the year) but lucky for me the story struck such a deep chord I always remember little things and thank goodness for that. Imagine my surprise and delight when I decided on a whim to look this story up again online (took me only 3 days to remember little things to put in the search engine) but what a reward! One of my most absolute H/Hr fics ever! If you ever write a sequel, please, please, please send me an email to let me know (I will beg if I have to):
And please don't make me wait another 6 years :) Thanks for the amazing story! |
alix33 2009-05-23 . chapter 4"It seemed that Arthur Weasley could have cared less. He was seated next to Hermione, beaming and waving a pennant and carrying on almost as much as Ron, who was nearly hoarse with hollering even though the game hadn't yet started." - I TOTALLY LOVE Ron's dad! |
alix33 2009-05-23 . chapter 3"Risa took his arm again. "Say," she said, as if the idea had just occurred to her. "Would you mind terribly if I came with you? The rum punch will be gone in twenty minutes, and then this place will be as dull as a library." - That was SO totally the wrong thing for that dim fangirl to say.
And those insulting remarks that made Hermione lock herself in the washroom? Bang out of order, that was! |
alix33 2009-05-23 . chapter 2"Hermione shuffled to the bathroom and flipped on the light to stare at herself in the mirror. A bleary reflection gazed back at her, wrapped in a lumpy plaid dressing gown. Sometime during the night, her hair had exploded into a mad scientist's worst nightmare. Dark circles the size of gobstones hung underneath her eyes. "Might want to have a shower, dear," the mirror said." - What a nice and tactful mirror.
"Mugwumps was the staggeringly huge wizard department store at the far end of Diagon Alley. The store motto, "If you can't find it at Mugwumps, it doesn't exist in any dimension," was probably not far from the truth." - This muggle envies London's wizardkind their department store something horrid.
"they paused to deliberate over a small mushroom-colored sofa in Mugwumps. Stretchable Sofa, the tag read. Will accomodate sleepers from goblin to giant." - I especially envy them the prospect of buying this sofa.
"Ron's new furniture would be delivered via Floo later that afternoon." - Do they put cushioning charms on the floo itself to stop damage during the delivery process, or on the furniture being delivered? |
alix33 2009-05-23 . chapter 1"which were currently showing off their finest display of brilliant fall color." - Given that Harry, Ron and Hermione are members of the British wizarding community, they would have seen "brilliant autumn colour' instead. "Fall" WAS used to describe the season between summer and winter by people living in Britain, but only up until the 17th century or so (which is where North American English speakers got it from).
"content for the moment to reflect and write letters." - Write letters? To whom?
"Madame Maxime, now the new ." - Madame Maxine is the new what, please?
"If you mean 's chicken, then yes," - Did you mean for Hermione to say: '"If you mean Mrs. Weasley's chicken, then yes,"? |
MercuryHatter 2009-05-12 . chapter 8oh my dear god. that was just brilliant! I don't usually read multi chaptered hhr but I'm glad I read yours. awesome stuff. |

cute18386 2009-05-04 . chapter 6Wow, so many shocking news! Quite shock to know about Harry, "I'm Voldemort." And now Ron, "I'm getting married." XD |
