Aleric 2008-06-02 ch 1,	abuseI can't recall the names, but there was an episode of BTVS where a supposed 'substitute' watcher for Faith turned out to be obsessed with power. And manipulated everyone into helping her get a special gauntlet. I'm wondering if that is something like what is happening with Myabi Gozumi. Not the power hunger, but the evil manipulations. It's obvious she lied to Akane to get her to accept the "gift" (warped as it is). But why send her after Buffy? She had to know that Buffy was the real deal. I have a disturbing theory about that. Myabi is all about control. That's why she refused to cast the balancing spell on Ranma. Because she saw that as a way to 'control' Ranma. Unfortunately for her, there were too many other factors (Khu-Lon, Giles, Willow, Buffy), not to mention Ranma him(her)self, that threw that 'control' out of whack. So she gives Ranma's ex-fiancee a shot of 'Power-Juice' and sends her after Buffy. Figuring that if the girl is the focal point to a lot of people. And her death would cause a lot of chaos for the others, leaving her in control. Not to mention that Ranma would then be the only slayer, with no one to turn to for help but her. (I know, convoluted thinking, but anyone who would be willing to use such a dangerous spell can't be accused of being stable).

Vilkath 2007-03-11 ch 1,	abuseStrange, and very chaotic compared to the orginal. Sort of settles down after the first few paragraphs, but really doesn't connect with the first book to well. Still I rather liked the Ranma/buffy cross over. I felt the first book worked pretty well. Although Akane in this book is.. meh. Like Ranma said, brining her into this danger is just stupid. Way to many demons and vampires runing around town. Dragging her there just to to make Ranma angry is a pretty low blow.
