Captain Soma though, is a busybody. The way he seems to do everything by himself reminds me of a unintetended Self-Insert. Its quite annoying to read the parts where he is in it. YOur story is complete so whatevery I say here wont have any more bearing on the future progression of the plot. I hope not all your characters turn out like this though. Trip, T'pol, Archer, and others are OC. they dont act that way... and the premise of swapping captains seems like a really weak plot point. I can think of a lot of reasons why a action like this is a bad idea, but I wont elaborate on it. Let me just say that it doesnt help "suspend my disbelief." |

Having read a fair amount of Star Trek fan fic over the past few years, I must say this has been one of the best stories that I have read. And I'm picky when it comes to characterization, grammar, and so forth. Great style, dialogue, pacing, and a wonderful yarn! (I really like LONG, multi-part stories.) And I'm not a big fan of "original characters" but Capt. Soma is a great one and I'm definitely looking forward to "Enemy of the State". Great job! BTW, will "2084" be returning? |

I like how you have Checkov as an Admiral, and of course Spock as an Ambassador. I am living it all with the way you are wording this, excellent.
