I used to be a big Xena fan when the show was on air but didn't watch the last two seasons...just recently started rewatching the show to find out what I missed. And reading fan fiction. I've got to say, your stories are the best I've read -- The Joining being my personal favorite. In fact, they are among the best pieces of fan fiction I've read in ANY fandom. Beautifully imagined and executed. I also visited your website. And as a professional writer who dabbles in fan fiction...you are my hero! I certainly hope you get into writing fiction someday. I think you really have a knack for it. :)

What can I say? As always, your words flow like a river that wraps me up and drowns me with images and emotions. And you don't have Xena and Ares have forty children. That's a huge selling point, there. :P

I enjoyed the internal struggles of Xena, Ares and Gabrielle between their light and dark sides this time around. I think Xena in particular has grown during this part. She's learned to trust herself. The first part was Ares coming to grips with his humanity which made him grow. Extremely well done and very involving. I noticed you haven't updated this in some time so I hope that doesn't mean you've abandoned your fic! I hope to see part 3 soon. Thanks for such a good read. :)

He fell from a tower in a film set and suffered severe head injuries. sigh To all other readers: thank you for the reviews. Part 3 WILL be posted this summer -- I have been very busy with another (unrelated) Xena/Ares fanfic, which turned out to be much longer than I expected. It will be posted here too.
spirit_of_the sea 2003-04-22 ch 1, anon.	abuseI just found out Kevin died. I unforetunately don't get Xena on my tv anymore. I could't of found out. I don't watch the news I'm only 12 but i've loved Xena for years. I was wondering if you read this if you could write something on the sight telling me how he died? I know its alot to ask but Ares was no is my favorite character ever on Xena. I understand if you don't but I would greatly apprieceate it. So just in case in advance thank you LadyKate!
