Interesting end. But.. I kinda feel like Kaga right now. so what really happened? Was it all a dream? Magic? Did he ever leave the first island at all? Did Kaga really change? I'm curious.

Perhaps this is just because I tend to be easily affected in general, but the lead hand description left me rather, um, not feeling good. All the mistakes I noticed were completely minor, this remains an impressive bit of work. I'm having trouble imagining Isumi and Akira as related, though. We'll see.

Very interesting! It's nice to see something completely different. I do wonder where you are going with this... Kaga does seem to be changing, but I wonder where he will end-- redemption, or no? Isumi's character does seem to have some mystical qualities to it... the more metaphysical actions of the last few chapters I think work better than the straight narrative, especially since characters are few and (presumably) the goal is a long emotional journey. I'm curious as to the book you mentioned you based the story off of. Anyway, good stuff; keep it up.

This is structured nicely in any case, it's just the distance between it and the original Hikago that keeps making me wonder. There's also nice thought and emotion changes, altho I'd suggest a bit more showing than telling, tho a course that's harder to do. Still wondering where this is going.

Actually, this is my fave chapter so far. I hope Tsutsui will be all right and Kaga's parents will be beat up. Yes, manipulating me will, yas are.

And now yer reminding me of all the survival in the wild books I used to read. What will be most interesting to me is how he changes or doesn't change, and whether he winds up in the end more like the Kaga we know.

I forgot to mention, just your summary made me think of Battle Royale... we had an argument about whether the evil kill everyone guy looked more like Gackt or Kaga. Anyway... yeah, I'm still rambling 'cause I still don't know what to make of this. Nice bit with the cake, tho.

I have nooooo idea what to make of this, so I'll be a bit rambly. No, my Kaga can't be one of those jerks who takes art just to stand around talking! It's not true! Oh, and beating up the adorable Tsutsui was mean too. Actually, this version of Kaga is so different from canon that, at the moment, I'm not reading him as Kaga at all. Maybe that'll change in the future. Hikaru is 22 and Kaga is baby-faced. Even that is just messing with my mind. I hope you have an explanation for "Ainu" in here somewhere, altho not knowing about them doesn't really hurt my understanding, I'd still like it cleared up a bit. Anyway, now I have to see where this is going...
