I love this story SO much. I am now a very happy person. I am at work, waiting for a process to finish running, and something brought me here. And I know, I've read this story, and reviewed (probably sever times). It's still great.

Your 494 is amazing. He is. I can fully understand the reluctance to let him go.

Everything is so good. Biggs' insights into 494/Alec, the pain and the shutting down, the scene with Max "helping". That was so f'ing cold and so, so *good*. reading it I remember the controversy at the time. It was never there for me. It always felt right (within the story). And it did because it was oh so wrong, and it was painful, and scary and freaking *efficient*. (you'd think I'd be able to express this more clearly, being that I have in the past.. oh well).

I like your use of Logan too. I'd forgotten he was even in this story (can you blame me? This is where we met 494, after all). But you did a really nice job with him. Also with Mole and OC.

You are always great with little gestures, little things that make each character recognizable.

The kidnapping scene was also chilling. The speed and again efficiency of 494's was astounding and shocking and yet felt natural. And in the midst of it all, there's the saving of Kyle. Awesome.

Then there's the scene from 494's POV, and man, was that .. *shivers*. 494 is one scary individual. And I love him. And all the sudden flashes of anger at the cage were great.

The scene when Max finally gets through to him, gets Alec back was also great. Him crumbling down and starting to sob, someone so strong ... it just broke my heart. Again.

I also really like that Max is able to accept 494 as a part of him, and love that part of him. Your Max is one strong woman, the woman we initially loved in the show.

The call back with the "I'll be all right, though. Later." was a very nice touch. As is the very ending.

I am missing a lot of other great scenes here. I'd probably be all of them. :)

I know, I've said all of this before. Bears repeating. This story is really good in and of itself, it is even better for having started this 'verse.

I am truly glad you found your muse for this one.

so now I know that there has been an awesome fic dealing with Alec and Biggs' death and all that crap all along! (coz seriously, the show's dealing - or rather non-dealing with that issue was basically... well, you know what I mean I guessm huh? (:

the whole cage symbolism worked just fine, especially when you took it up again at the end referring to Terminal City and them all being in it together.

This is such a GREAT fic! I love the depth of Alec AND Max's character, and the somewhat resolved issue, because ultimately certain things can never be completely resolved and you protrayed that fact beautifully, I am looking forward to reading your other fics!

I really like this story. Very interesting concept and of course, very angsty which ROCKS! One question though; is "Yule" supposed to be Mule? Because I know that there is a transgenic character named Mule. So is that supposed to be the same person, or a different one?

great story! i liked it a lot. one thing though, in the last chapter Max says "i'm sorry about CeCe, but in the same chapter you have CeCe hugging Alec. shouldn't it be Biggs that Max says sorry about?
