Your words flow together so beautifully, and it's easy to see that each line is meticulously crafted and cared for. I seriously think that is one of the saddest stories I have ever read! That Hobbit moment-that was something special. I have never read of one quite that sweet. I was crying the whole time I read this. I could just see that little Hobbit-girl. This was truly a magical story!

This was beautiful . Not as beauty as most of us know it , but sad beauty. You words struck me and somehow made me feel like I knew Merry , maybe. This is one of the few stories that has left a hole in my heart. It was haunting and I cannot stop thinking about it. Thanks for writing it.

There are times when I hate reviewing because I can't find the words to express how I feel. This is one of those times. The sweetness of this story overwhelmed me. I could've cried at Merry's feelings of loss and Pippin's feelings of helplessness.

Well, hell. Excuse me while I cry my eyes out. The ending alone nearly killed me.

Oh my, such amazing lines. "Ought I want to raise my child in a world where the shadow looms?" and "for the first time he realised how much they had given away and how much they would sacrifice still." I can hardly believe how beautiful this tale is. More lines, "although their prospects for the future looked less than good, the alternative felt more wrong than anything."

This is stunning. Absolutely stunning.
