Fantastic description, especially in the opening. The talking compass is very amusing. Amazing scenery details. Eilidh has a great personality, a very natural teenager, and Hamish was nifty too. I wish you'd have time to finish this, but I know how busy life can get! :)

The long-tailed descriptions are sort of hard to get to, but the characters and dialogue are fascinating. I love that little MacDermott girl whose name I can't spell off the bat. :-)

I don't care if your plot has been superseded by GoF - this is such a beautifully imagined and written story that you MUST finish it, whenever you can. What's the good of fanfiction if we can't revel in alternative universes? (Besides, we "barking mad Lupinfreaks" were given only pitiful scraps in GoF.) Your descriptions are pithy, your original characters are full of life, and your Lupin is perfect. And I will take Remus in Scotland any way I can get him, but it couldn't be better than this.
