oy... I can't believe I didn't review this before. this is one of my favorite fics. I loved the serious-Chiri when he first found Tasuki. This was really well written and I enjoyed it a lot ^^

I think that about sums it up, right? I'm not particularly into yoai--although I've written a few myself I've never posted any of them--but this was really *really* good. You did an amazing job manipulating the emotion level in the way they spoke; I could freakin' *hear* them talking, Onee-chan!
And it was *tasteful* too! I find it difficult to find tasteful yoai these days...most of them are pretty nasty...
But this is REALLY freakin' good!

Aww, I loved it! I enjoyed it *especially* because there wasn't really any citrus other than that kissing scene. And, I loved the kiss! You are a better yaoi writer than you think you are! I can't figure out what the song was though. I've been trying to figure it out but, I'm just so confuzzled!!! ?_? ;_; Waaaaaah! Anyway great fic! ^_^

As someone who has only written one yaoi fic in their fanfic career ( Voltron based) I have to be honest and say i don't feel qualified enough to review yaoi fics. *blushes*

You also made it a lot more difficult for me to review this by making it a Tasuki x Chichiri pairing...*laughs and winks*

However, I appreciated the sweet and genuine emotions you captured in this story, and I *really* liked the insights into how deeply the sacrifices of the others affected Tasuki, and how those feelings enabled him to be honest with Chichiri at last.

One person thought on writing, for whatever it's worth: personally, I think this fic could stand on its own without the song. The trouble with songfics, IMHO, is if the person isn't familiar with the song being used (as in my case), having the lyrics being interspersed with the prose tends to distract from the power of the story.

IMHO, you don't need lyrics to illustrate the powerful emotions flowing between Tas and Chiri here...or to help the fic along. As I was reading , I was getting frustrated, because I wanted to read more of *your* prose, not the songwriters! *grins* Just a thought...:):)

One thing though next time you might want to bracket or italasize the song lyrics to make them more clear.
