It took me three days to read this (you write VERY long chapters!), but I loved your story. I loved a much kinder, gentler Xanatos, an anakin who didn't turn, and whose relationship with Padme was in the open and gaining approval, even a good Palpatine...and I loved how you wrote ObiWan...great writing...I loved the brief meeting of Siri and ObiWan...very sweet...I would have loved him finding Siri on Tatooine where perhaps she "knew" she would find him one day...but OK, ... very good story.

This was such a riveting story!! I couldn't peel myself away! I like the idea that Obi-Wan and Xanatos could have been friends if only one of them hadn't turned in the universes. I've read tons of stories where Xanatos is the bad guy (obviously) but it was cool to read one where he's actually the savior. If it hadn't been for his kindness and quick thinking, Obi would've been lost!! Whoa... Anyway, great story! =D

{hysterical giggles} The description of Obi-Wan as "un-turned, un-dead apprentice from another universe" was a wonderful touch to end the chapter with. Nicely done. I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more chapters on more stories sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran {mailto:} zafaran {at} fastmail {dot} fm

AU-travel is my favorite type of fanfic, and I thought I would never find such a thing in the Star Wars category. I stumbled on your fic by accident and once I realized what it was I couldn't get enough. I absolutely adore this fic... the characterization, the plot, the differences between the parallel and canon (and Xanatos in this!)... It's splendid. This was nearly everything I had wanted in such a fic and it's going on my favorites list.

I would just like to compliment you on 'The Water's Edge'. It was a truly beautiful story and the end was very emotionally deep. Well done :)

I got sent to read your story by someone else, and I must say, it was very good! I liked how your phrasing was handled, and how seamlessly you incorporated Obi-Wan into the other universe (not so seamlessly for the character, though! :-D).

The only kind of critique I can offer is that of Adi Gallia. I though you said that Kenobi had killed her, then she was in a later scene standing watch with Xanatos. Just a little nit-picky thing. :-)

Very excellent writing. This story was so much fun to read.

Cool story! Any plans for a sequel? Maybe one where Xanatos ends up in Obi-Wan's universe? *hint, hint*

Anyway, this was a great story and I really enjoyed it!

Possibly one of the most fabulous AUs that I've read in the Star Wars universe. I love the stories involving Xanatos and this one has been really in-depth and a great exploration of character and I loved the way you've developed him in the parallel. I also loved the idea behind the plot, that was a really interesting read and something that I find fascinating. I truly enjoyed the way you've written Obi-Wan's connections with the counter-parts and responses to his journey and the opening reactions (e.g. "Oh, we're BOTH insane!") to various situations and how you managed to introduce all the necessary characters as well the "balance" that Anakin was supposed to bring. All in all, I thought it was fantastic.

I wouldn't often re-review a fanfiction (I have before, under the username of Eowyn Skywalker, but I changed it... XD). But after rereading this fic after... oh, how long since the last update? A year? my perceptions have changed quite a bit as a writer. I reread because it was the only fanfiction I've ever found to completely stick in my mind, and a year later, I still remembered the beginning and the pretense of the AU.

And rereading, as a more mature and critical reader... I'm still amazed by what you've done here. The characters are very drawing; though it doesn't feel so extremely Star Wars as some--it completely captures the heart of those characters. It feels like this alternate could have been possible. It SHOULD have been possible. For a fic started in '02, your perceptions of how RotS could go are quite on the dot... the description of the Kenobi vs Skywalker duel could have almost been the right duel.

I reread the entire story today. It's among the best Star Wars fanfictions I have read on this site. And unlike so many others, it's ended. I'm really glad you did write it to its conclusion. It's a charming, angst-filled work... and you and your co-authors did it very well. Even if you're no longer doing fanfiction so much, I thought you might like to know your stories are still enjoyed. Thanks for leaving it up. :D

What a heartening detour. Obi-Wan needed hope so badly, and the Force has given him it. Things got rather dramatic there for a while. I was in a quandary what to believe about Palpatine, as he would have been a brilliant liar as a Sith and could have been totally different from his canon counterpart like many others. You showed so well how a single decision can affect far and many. I definitely enjoyed reading this!

I'm going to keep reading, but I have to comment right now to rave about how totally awesome this fic is! The way Obi-Wan reacts is the way I would imagine he would react to these circumstances that are so diferent from anything he's ever known. Keep up the good work.

Great fic, love it, very original. It was very interesting to see the different personalities in the AU, and amusing at some points. One thing that annoyed me though was that close to the beginning you said that the evil Obi-wan had killed Adi Gallia but later she was alive and well comforting Siri? but other then that maraculous recovery from the dead, love it all the way.
