This is just beautifully written and very poignant. I'm not sure yet if I have read this and reviewed years ago but is definately worth a 2nd read and review. Looking forward to all the other chapters.

Man what a beautifully bittersweet story. Definitely the most well written "past life" fic I've seen yet..

And since I noticed you worried about this in the author notes- I definitely think you did a great job at creating a believable ficverse.. cuz let's be honest- very very very FEW of your readers are going to have a clear view of Egyptian history beyond the movie lol What you did well, was that you kept the details you created consistent with each other and throughout the story.

It's definitely hard to do but you did it well!

You're a modern day Scheherzade! :) It's obvious that enormous consideration and attention was bestowed on this bittersweet, engaging story. The characters are wonderfully fleshed out (Eve & Rick provided a nice comic counter to the seeming bleakness of the pairing between Alex & Ardeth), the progression of the story coherent and the language poetic without being too embellished.
*sigh* It was a great read, so don't stop writing!

Oy, mixed mixed emotions. I'm so glad you updated and I was able to read the conclusion to this fantastic story. Yet I'm sad, for not being able to read more about the growing relationship between Ardeth and Alex.

Well done; the mixture of different times in history, the use of Arabic, the knowledge you exhibited especially with the poison.I could go on and on.

I weep over the passing of Aretas yet at the same time, I worry for Alex. Please tell me your last chapter will have a happy ending for Ardeth and Alex?

Wow, in a way I'm glad I'm late reviewing this...I had to catch up from chapter 20. Whoa. So much to say, too tired to say it coherently so I'll simply add on my hopes that we see more of this wonderful story.

In the meantime, try not to stress yourself out between classes and finishing this - concentrate on the important thing. Finishing this...LOL

I like this story. One minor flaw: the ancient Egyptians did not ride horses, especially for military purposes. The stirrup hadn't been invented yet, so a chariot was a far more stable platform to use a weapon from. Stirrups finally came into use in the later Roman era for cavalry.
