Hey acafe/jrp! :-) Sorry I never got a chance to give you feedback on this story--I've been busy with a lot of different things. I've finally caught up with this, and while I still don't have a chance to give detailed feedback, I think this is very good! (Even though you seem to be making Ares a bit nastier than I would like ... and Ares coming on to Gabrielle? :EEK!) I'm quite eager to see how this turns out. Good plot, terrific dialogue, very well-written ... please continue!

the story it self has a nice flow to it, well written and mostly makes you want to read more.. the last part of the chapter is excellent, keeping you captivated with diffrent thoughts for what could come, a brilliant lead up to the next chapter.. one could only hope that a grand war is about to take place.. and the heroes battling it out under the worst of odds

Well done, very true to previously established character traits, yet expanding on the changes these people would have gone through. Love the hints that perhaps Ares has been keeping a watchful and lustful eye on our Batlling Bard to see if she'd take up the mantle of being his chosen. Like the Virgil consistency as well. Would love to see where this goes, and really appreciate the attention to historic detail that was paid.

Once again a wonderful chapter. You'd better continue this. You've hooked me.

Interesting story...would've liked Virgil/Gabrielle though. Virgil is hot. LOL. But anyways, will read Chap 2 later. On for a bit. See ya at acafe!

This looks interesting. I'm a sucker for mythological fiction Gabrielle style, and one in which the ghost actually stays DEAD? Is it too much to be true? (Not that I don't love the ghost, but let er rest in peace).
