Hey, great work.

Hm, ok, most of all I like it, because I'm a Metallica-Fan. Great Use of the Song "The Unforgiven". The Story part is well written, too.

I haven't expected to see some of the great Metallica-Lyrics in an Evangelion-Fanfic, but in my opinion, some of the songs fit perfectly on NGE (Which songs ? Grab the Lyrics and look for yourself !). So here are two of my hobbies combined, so I simply must like it.

Ah, I don't want to force your creativity, but I would be very pleased by a Sequel of this... Maybe you could use "Unforgiven II" for a Shinji/X fic. ...mmh... "Lay beside me, tell me what they've done..."... Just a suggestion...

Ok, enough said. I hope you'll get this to read. And don't mind the grammar, because english is not my foreign language (I'm German).

I thought this story was very touching, definately showing a side of Gendo that we all wish would have come out in the series. Good choice of songs too, it really helped tell the story.

Well, Mr. Smart Dane, you still need to work on your English spelling just a bit, and more than a bit on your grammar. The work never ends, does it now... As to the content: I really like this because it's one of the most human portrayals of Gendo I've seen, and I feel sorta sorry for the poor guy as he's portrayed in most fics. I also like the use of the song as a backdrop and mood-setter rather than the usual songfic, which is basically a music-video script. Work on the mechanics of your writing, and keep going with the good ideas. (I still say the pilot couldn't survive an Eva's self-destruct: even if they ejected, how could just a little entry plug survive the following explosion?)

This is beautiful. You picked a perfect song to go with it, and your portrayal of Gendo was awesome. The writing is great too. Very well done.
