I usually hate pieces written in the preasent tense, (in addition, you used first person) but i enjoyed this story so much. It even made me cry, multiple times, actually. I also want to thank you, because as stupid as this will sound, I really...i dont know if appreciated is the right word, but it is the only one that comes to mind right now, but i aapreciated it in more ways than I'm sure you could have intended.
