And here I am again. :) I do like your writing very much. It's not flawless; it's not gold, but it reaches for something inside me and pulls and tugs and wrenches until I fall utterly into the story and only realize it after I'm left gasping at the end, heart thudding, tear tracks on my cheeks. How would I describe this style? Short, blunt, and visceral, yes, but most of all, emotional. These incredible, universal emotions come through, become very personal and relatable, through your writing. And I wanted you to know that your style of writing has influenced my own very much. I don't think I've ever told you that I printed out "I'm the Only One" and kept it in a folder on my bookshelf throughout part of middle school and all of high school, to be pulled out and enjoyed on nights when I need romantic angst. :) It just clicks with me, your writing does. Thank you very much for sharing it.

I guess I never reviewed for this fanfic, which seems so unbelievable now. I did read it some years ago, one of the first fics to plunge me into RK shounen-ai, the only bizarre RK pairing I ever really fell for. I just recently noticed Kuroiyousei's back on this site and was combing through her deliciously SaiSa-ridden page when this fanfiction of yours came to mind. :) I think it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say it was unforgettable. It's beautifully written, very much like "I'm the Only One" and "Serendipity" but with that achingly nostalgic tone in the beginning that made the ending the touching tear-jerker it was. And still is.

It -is- AU and their situations and even characters are different than the canon, but the quirks in their relationship, little things that worked about it remained: "It had suddenly become important to me to show him that I was not simply a wild child with an immense chip on my shoulder".

Anyway, I was hit with a moment of nostalgia myself. :) And this was much too beautiful for me not to review - though I really should have years ago. One of these days, I'll reread one of your longer works, which I've been meaning to do for a while now. Best of luck!
