I really enjoyed this chapter, and you are quite correct when it comes to rats. I used to have a semi-hairless powderpuff albino named Nero. He was a wonderful creature to have around; used to sit on my shoulder while I read in the evenings. :) Just wanted to say your writing in this chapter is brilliant as always, not that you didn't already know that you devil. ;)

Well, I'm liking this so far. Interested to see what Clarice will do with this dilemma. I know there's still a bunch more to read, but I just wanted to review now to say how much I appreciating seeing an old hometown of mine in a fanfic. As weird as it is, thinking of Dr. Lecter in Manassas. Either you're familiar with the area or you've done your research, which is quite commendable. Nice story.

Perhaps this story is the classic case of you may be able to take the FBI agent out of the girl but you'll NEVER put the 'no no frou-frou-girly-crap' into the girl.or look at it this way, you might be able to take the FBI agent out of the girl but you can also rip out the bleeding heart our of the FBI girl's boss and make her eat it.>:D

I read this in fic in one sitting and found it very enjoyable - about the best story I've read in the Hannibal action genre. Charlene's niece's POV is very effective. (Incidentally, would her favorite candy bar be "Clarice's niece's 'Reese's Pieces'"?). Good work!
