I like one-shots better than the longer stories sometimes, because one-shots are, as they say, "short, sweet, and to the point". Or something. Whatever.

I liked this story a lot. It was realistic, descriptive, and interesting. I've read some of your other work, too, and it was as great as this one, which is really good.

I always did think there was a heap big respect thing going on between Kenshin and Saito---desptie their snide comments and bickering. I did wonder myself what Kenshin might think about his old nemesis' supposed death---just never got around to following through on the thought, though. This was a good start, but I disagree with your opinion on one-shots, they can be too short. You picked an interesting topic, and it was written fairly well, although there were some typos that stood out. Still, I would like this much better if you continued your thought and dug deeper into Kenshin's reaction. I look forward to reading more of this, but I have one final request, please drop the unnecessary Japanese. It didn't add to the story, and would likely detract if the reader couldn't understand it. Your potential is good, expand on it!
