So yes. It was beautiful and presented Uruk hais in a new way.

I first thought it would be more believable if instead of Elrond there would have been a younger elf, but maybe not. Elrond for he has lived so long and seen so many things, might just be able to understand Ugluk.

I love your portrayal of Ugluk. You gave him a more humane side. One thing I find lacking in Tolkien's works (one of the VERY few =p) is that his creatures of 'evil' are very "flat"...as in, they don't change, they have no personality, et cetera. Probably because they don't play a big part, but still... oh well nevermind, I'm rambling again, and probably no one will understand me. Gaah.

Anyway, really good, excellent, beautiful fic, as you said. ^_~.

Although I'm slightly biased maybe...I love Elrond, but my friends think he's an ugly old fart...sigh.

It's surprising -and refreshing- when people discover magic in things that are-not-nice.

We are made to believe that Uruks are mindless killing beasts and here you present a whole new theory. It really made me think about them under a whole new light.

The story was inspired, the slow prossess from hate to uncomfortable trust and then to affection was sensational.

Needless to say, I loved every word of it.

Why can't anybody write a story like this about a womand and a Uruk Hai?
I mean, all the story's about the Uruk hai are about raping or loveing or just plain ** another man. Not that i really mind you know, but it would be nice to have a sweet romantic or even disgustingly disturbing sexual relationship between a Uruk hai and a girl


Ah well, maybe ill write one of those myself one day.

I thoroughly enjoyed your story. It has quite an unusual pairing, which I didn't think could possibly work. But you really were able bring it down to the fact that orcs were once elves. I actually was hoping that you could find a way to keep them together. Alas, it is not possible...nice story!
