This is wonderful - I had read 2 chapters back in 2003 and had searched for it periodically (and unsucessfully) since then. Absolutely delighted to find it today, and see 6 more chapters added, and all written to an equally high standard. Faith's voice is perfect. Please, please write more soon.

This is a great fic. Extremely well written, you got the charachters' voices down perfect. I'm not really fond of Catherine, she irritates me a bit. I really like that part about how a Watcher is chosen. I was wondering if you were planning on continuing this fic. I really hope you do.

Definitely not a pairing (or even a plotline) I would have thought of, but you make it work, and more importantly, you make it /interesting/. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Excellent chapter. I really liked the way you had Faith beat the demon by playing chess against him. Poor girl, she really underestimates Gil if she's knocking him out like that. I liked her reasoning though. More please.

Dang. Poor Faith's screwing this up too, and being the exception to prove the rule Bishophric gave Willows--that Slayers are what they fight.

How'd they get her for the death of the deputy mayor? There wasn't enough evidence to tie her to it... unless she confessed when she turned herself in? The Mayor would have had Buffy charged with it if there had been any evidence at all... the detectives in SunnyD had suspicions, but nothing else to go on. anyway, he was an accident; it's the contract hit on the volcano-ologist guy that is pretty bad-
So--is Buffy dead at this point? ie it's one year in prison, putting her in season 5, then however long it's been since...?

Seriously, you need to continue this story. A pairing I would never have thought of, but it weirdly works.

Found your story by accident. I'm loving it. This is one of the best characterizations of Faith done yet. Hope Gil can get through to Faith though. Like that twist with the Watchers. When will Faith find out that Buffy died? (if she did in your tale that is.)

Very interesting chapter - I loved the approach you took in it, contantly jumping back and forth, comparing Faith to who she had been, the BtVS/Angel gang to Gil. Very sucessful.
