Wow... I'd read this a couple of years ago, and when I saw it in the archives, I remembered it being so amazing I thought I'd reread it. And yay, am I glad I did!

Truly spectacular mellon-nin. This is one of the few stories that can reduce me to sniffles, and you do it so well! Wonderful plot line, fabulous descriptions, amazing characterizations... and I haven't even gotten past the second chapter yet! I do seem to remember though, that our lovely elf comes back to life after some trials, so I must keep this in mind... even as I sniffle while I read these next chapters...

That is truly one of the BEST metaphors for grief I have ever seen. Bravo for beautiful wording andsentiment.

Great story! Out of all your characters, I especially like your interpretation of Galadriel. She's one of those very removed characters in LotR, but you do a very good job in portraying her grief.

It strikes me as I read this that in most Legolas-centric fanfics I read, Thranduil's on the verge of having a heart attack the whole time. Poor guy; and just because we like our angst, too.

This story made me cry sevral times, and I ruined my homework =( But its readable...somewhat (like all my writing...) then people were bothering me...and I was hiding I was crying, it was not fun! But...it was worth it! Write a new one soon!

well, at least i know why the story is so long now...

my god, i dont think ive cried so much over a fic in...well, quite a long time. when i started reading, i didnt think you would actually do it, or at least not so soon...but you did. :( for some reason, i was sobbing the most when frodo and sam found out; i have no idea why, because i adore both gimli and thranduil, and was assuming i would be the most stricken with their plight...but no, i fell apart over the hobbits *shakes head*

thats not to say im not aching for everyone else. everyone's reactions are so REAL, from aragorns staunch denial to thranduils grief (im really rather worried about him at this point). and as a supporter of anything regarding legolas and gimli...well, im not very happy with you, for putting the poor dwarf through this. :( however, im not too mad, as you've captured the various emotions perfectly.

this is amazing so far, and i cant wait to see where it goes. kudos; you are extremely talented, and are now one of my favorite authors.

this was absolutely fantastic! I would imagine that Tolkien would be quite pleased with it if he read it, its one of the best LOTR fanfic's i've read in awhile. you got all the characters absolutly perfectly and if i could do half as well i'd be motivated to post a lotr fic that i've been working on...

so glad to see a good fic with legolas..that isn't slash. will there be a sequel of some sort? something with legolas finally leaving..perhaps what goes on in the undying lands?

Wow...you actually made me cry, which is quite a feat with the written word. Still, I have hope; your synopsis said that Legolas gets to find out how much he is loved, which means he must come back at some point. :D

I love this story, first time I read it, I started crying! By they way, have you read Barlagarth the sorccerer by Eddings, or any of the others? I recognised the tosting part in chapter two!

A wonderful story. I really really enjoyed this - and that is saying alot, seeing as I usually prefer stories of the second and third age... not always the fourth.. but this - this is love.

Wow, this story just tore my heart and mended it all over again. It was an amazing premise and I think it's one of the most original post Ring Wars stories I've ever read.

I was both glad and sad to see the end of the tale. Glad because I wanted so badly to see how it would end, and yet, I've gotten so much enjoyment from each chapter that I hate to see it over with, because then I don't have the anticipation of the next chapter!
