When I read the summary of this story I did so want to enjoy it. The problem quickly became that enjoying it was impossible. The Golden Trio suddenly didn't exist (for no reason at all), Hermione suddenly became a weak character who could be intimidated simply by a few mouthed threats (compared to the girl who punched Malfoy in third year). The 'enemy' of this story somehow became much like Draco and his goons in the canonverse for boks 6 and 7 (suddenly much better at magic and everything than Harry who is basically leading the school in Defense). We have an evil 'Bobby' Sue pop up who s perfectly evil and who never is dealt with properly. A rapist who gets away with it and is ab le to continue as if nothing happened.

If this story was supposed to be at all believable, it failed spectacularly. While books six and seven stretched credulity with the stupidity, naivete and sudden helplessness of the main characters, this takes a step even beyond those in that the characters seem universally apathetic to the wrongs done to Hermione and others and no one somehow cares enough to do anything about anything at all... This proved to be a story that disappointed through the worthlessness and OOCness of the characters whom we have come to know and enjoy.

Im sorry but this isnt right. Hermione isnt that weak, and frankly anyone in that position would tell. Maybe not at first, but this here? Anthony threatening her like that? If she told Dumbledore hed be expelled. I know this story is already completed but no. Youve made Hermione weak and Harry clueless and ignorant. I want to jump into the story and smack them both.

Sorry. I just can't stand rape fics. Rape is utterly loathsome and disgusting. This is way worse though for it features an utterly stupid Hermione, not the intelligent girl she really is.

It's completely unbelievable when the guy had long prior told her he was essentially going to rape her (I'll have you whether you want it or not attitude was there from the very beginning nearly a year prior to her being raped) but yet she kept going out with him, too proud and stupid to admit that Harry and Ron were right and she was wrong. In my opinion, your Hermione deserved to get raped. In fact, she pretty much invited it by not getting help but instead hiding everything bad about her relationship for an entire year in a school full of people just because of her pride in being asked out by the "2nd most popular guy in school." Gag me. If a girl takes that kind of attitude, forgive me for saying that she gets what she deserves. She had ample opportunity to get help but chose not to out of pride and in fact openly lied to her two best friends in order to hide it. Now we see where that pride has taken her.

I really liked this story, though I would suggest that you tell when things are dreams or memories. It got a bit confusing. Awesome story!
