This was wonderfully written. I have been raised from birth with all of Tolkein's work, so seeing a story so beautifully using his work, it touches me deeply. This is definatly going into my favorites! Great job. Keep up the amazing work! (oh, and just a hint, you might want to put this as "complete". Just to my knowledge, most people look for completed stories, and they would miss this wonderful one!)

This is an exceptional story. What beautiful, luminous writing. I'm in awe. You have a wonderful ability to hit the tone of Middle-earth just right in both narration and dialog, the characters were spot-on, and the story held my interest from start to finish.

I was very taken with the lovemaking scenes. I couldn't write them to save my life, but you made them beautiful and loving... and hot. They were a pleasure to read.

Wonderful too, the conversation between Gandalf and Legolas as the wizard strove to assist the stricken elf, and Legolas' confrontation with Saruman.

Black hair and green eyes, eh? I like it. When I first read the Trilogy in 1976, Legolas looked like that for me, too.

I'm adding you to may favorites, and am off to see what else you have done. Thanks for this wonderful story.

Oh my, lucky me. I do so love it when I stumble across the occasional gem gleaming amidst the rubble. Elegantly written with lovely descriptions and properly phrased Middle-earth dialog. This is good. I'll continue on to the conclusion.

I am in total and complete awe. I found this story about a month ago somewhere else and just ran across it here & wanted to tell you how overwhelmingly beautiful I found it! This for me is the definitive Gimli & Legolas romantic story. So beautiful and moving in so many places! I bow in awe before your skills, & I hope all Leg/Gim lovers find their way to this fic.

This was lovely. I do so like to read angsty Leoglas with a hefty helping of supportive (and if we're lucky loving) Gimli.
I do hope you'll continue to write these two characters, I'm sure the Elf has lots of trouble from which our sturdy dwarf must save him!
