SecondCalling 2006-12-24 . chapter 4Just started reading - this is excellent stuff! Well written, engaging, and very true to the characters. I'm excited to see what happens with the rest of the story...you're very ambitious, telling a story on such a large scale. |
aZnDrEaMeR1788 2006-09-05 . chapter 40I am so glad this fic was updated. You have a natural knack to write so suspensefully, and in such a reportorial fasion. I will be definently checking back on this fic often. |
sulou 2006-08-28 . chapter 38I've enjoyed reading this fic. I'm glad I had you on author alert or I might not have caught the updates since I haven't been that caught up in FVI. I am looking forward to reading more of this fic as you update. |
 sulou 2006-08-23 . chapter 37Wow. |
sulou 2006-08-15 . chapter 36Oh wow, you're finally updating this fic! I remember reading this fic a very long time ago, and was disappointed when I thought you had given up on it. I will definitely look forward to reading more.
Glad you're back. |
Jayliyah 2005-12-04 . chapter 34Excellent, I was impressed with your writing skills and detailed descriptions. You need to continue this, I'm looking forward to more. ^_^ Too bad you had to give a cliffhanger. Update soon. |
Karla3 2005-01-12 . chapter 34This chapter was great to read. The descriptions were very realistic and it all came together nicely. Nice little surprise at the end,I didnt expect it!, so it makes for a good next chapter. Please update soon? |
Baconfat 2004-12-01 . chapter 34 Man! Finally a Rinoa POV, give us some idea of what's going on in her head, and wow. Creepy nad awful (I mean that in a good way) -- especially how she's relating (or failing to relate) with Squall.
[For all she knew, years had passed with her in this state; since she could not remember how long a year was, this seemed reasonable enough. ] Man oh man. When you're dealing with Sorceresses, time stuff has a whole new level to it.
[He tried not to think about the decisions he had made, especially this time around; self-doubt couldn’t help either of them right now.] Seems very Squallish to me, especially when it comes to dealing with Rinoa.
And now I'm left to wonder what in the world Seifer was doing out in the woods until you post the next chapter. So get to it. |
Raziel 2004-11-29 . chapter 34 Great story there. I have to admit I have an amazingly short attention span, but I had to read this story in four hours chunks because I just - couldn't - look - away. All that to say, the pacing was phenomenal, you rock. Keep it up and finish this before I die of the tension. |
Baconfat 2004-10-29 . chapter 33 Augh, MAN I'm lovin' this story. The whole Squall and Rinoa storyline has this awesome, eerie creepy atmosphere to it that freaks me out and has me dying to know what happens next. The bit about Rinoa not liking cars, the connection there to Julia and to that conversation with Seifer way back -- gave me the heebie-jeebies.
The interaction in chapter 32, there, between Tolmar and Naraka was really interesting -- gave some insight there into the two of them while still forwarding the plot.
It'll definitely be cool seeing what Mara, Keri, Sean, and Tavin are going to do with what they've found. (And the little details there about math being the Kashkabald holy language I just thought were really cool.)
I really, really enjoyed this last scene, with Quistis, Nida, and the Galbadian captain. Awesome characterization for both of them, and -- just -- them talking over what Squall's done and where he might be headed -- man. Just awesome. The fact that you can tell a great story, handle a large cast, and still have this perfect little moments of chacter depth just blows me away.
I hope you'll post more soon. |
flag 2004-05-25 . chapter 32 GAH! oh so its gonna turn into a rinoa/seifer now? oh well!! as long as it ends up happy for squall in the end, im happy!! but then again, im just one person. i seriously think this is one of the best post game fics for ff8 out there!! remember: we love squall!! |
lendmemoni 2004-05-25 . chapter 32wow, i just finished all these chapters and when there was no chapters left i felt like screaming. I think this is one of the best stories i've ever read. I hope noone dies in this story *hint hint it better not be squall or Rinoa!* haha i like how theres so much detail. Wonderful! i like it alot! UGH! i hope you update soon, and when i mean soon i mean now! lol well i'll check every hour just to see if y9ou get another chapter done! ok looks like i wrote enough. Thank you so much for writing such a great story! UPDATE SOON! |
Noacat 2004-05-25 . chapter 32YAY!! It's alive!! Wonderful job here. The beginning parts with Squall and Rinoa were nicely done. You can really see the gears churning as he tries desperately to do the right thing. Her state of near conciousness was also nicely played. The bits after word with the Galbadian OCs was nicely done as well. You really got that smack of governmental conspiracy from it. |
Baconfat 2004-04-14 . chapter 31 You really pulled off the emotion in this chapter well, and without going overboard with it. Two lines in particular: [...we figure they’re patients who couldn’t get out in time.] and [The girl torched the place. She’s the Hyne-child, for damn sure.] really gave me a low-key sort of delayed-reaction shock: I hadn't even /thought/ about there being other patients in there.
I really liked the exchange between Irvine and Amey, especially his inability to come up with a response to the question [I mean, is that what evil looks like?] 'Cause... yow. What /can/ you say?
Can't wait to read the next part. |
Karla3 2004-04-13 . chapter 31Well that certainly put a nice touch to the story. I guess its going to make the pressure build on the two 'Runaways' now. The dialogue was really good too, especially the last half. :) |
