That was absolutely nothing like I expected.
The lack of communication and misunderstandings of the situation on both parts was agonizing!!
While his misunderstanding of Saitou's actions makes me sad and frustrated, I can't say I'm all that surprised that he did end up taking it that way.
Once again, very true to character. Sanosuke definitely would have been furious as hell. He's had a tendency for revenge in the past (with the fight against Battousai the Patriot) and he always rushes into things headfirst, recklessly hurting himself and sometimes others in the end.
Like I've said, I'm a big supporter of a happy ending SaixSa. However, you maintain a good sense of reality in these stories. Not everything goes smoothly in relationships, and you hold testimony to that. It's surprisingly refreshing after so many successful SaixSa hook-ups, that I really enjoyed it.
It definitely gives a new perspective of the previous story. Things aren't always what they seem, ne?

I was going to give these comments, whether you asked those ending questions or not. (How did you know?)

First,I have to say that you remained wonderfully true to Saitou's character. This is exactly how I imagine he would think. Particularly the part about Saitou being disgusted with what he thought was taking advantage of Sano. This is very much something he would have felt in this situation.

I had no trouble understanding the events. You described everything very eloquently, and with detail. The entire piece just seemed to flow beautifully with no awkward sentences or break in thought. The imagery was great, and I could easily picture everything that was taking place.

The ending was depressing for someone as supportive as SaixSa as I am. XD I would much rather see them together. (Who doesn't love a happy ending?) But putting that aside, it was a good ending. Once again, the end was very true to Saitou's character and had this taken place in the RuroKen universe, I believe that is EXACTLY how Saitou would have dealt with it.

Overall, I very very VERY well written piece. I will be continuing on to the next chapter/story. ^_^

This is so beautiful, even if it is sad. It made me cry. You've really got Saito's viewpoint nailed. This is one of the best Saito stories I've read.

"He woke up and understood everything. He realized he’s not perfect, I’m not irrelevant, and the world isn’t under his complete control because his control isn’t complete. Then he walked out like the arrogant coward he is." - It is a little disconcerting how easily Sano reads him. On some other level, Sano's pretty obsessed with Saitou as well.

"And when I do find the bastard, he’s going to be the one that walks away changed." - Now THAT is something to be looked forward to. I'm going to have to hunt down that doujinshi somewhere.

It was a bit confusing, but in a good way. It made me read it more thouroughly than I would've otherwise.

Yes, I am getting a clear image of the scenes. You leave much description of the rooms and spaces blank and that's good because it's nice to fill in the blanks yourself from time to time.

I *loved* how you portrayed Saitou. It was so typical like him, to think that, to *overthink* things. To analyze and then overanalyze.

The ending was very in character too, although I would've loved if Sano woke up and they had a final conversation.

Yes I am interested in to where this will go, there for, I will read the next part.

not bad. I had a craving for saitou/sano fics lately (don't know why) and this one is not that bad, but is it finish ?

Personally, I like Saitou the way you made him, he look so lost about his actions, and Sano is just as i would thought he would react.

You know, I was thinking about things, and I was beginning to think that I'd never actually given you any feedback on this. I looked around and found that I hadn't, so I came here to reread and review. So here are my official comments: very awesome. Your portrayal of their characters and motives is perfect, and your writing is spectacular. Excellent couple of vignettes, beautiful work.

You know, I resent that remark on your intro... I did so edit! Just... there were more reaction comments than actual helpful information, that's all. Besides, it brightened your day, and therefore is more valuable than any grammar/style scrawlings I could have produced! I am most pleased with my wit... tee hee...
I'm too lazy to actually review this story, since I already did (in person, might I add). But I will repeat that I think your wording can be absolutely fabulous! (Oh, that's something YOU say all the time... damn, I think I'm around you too much if things are doing to start to rub off...)

I read these fics on SxSAS ml... but I never gave my comments.. so here they are! ^_^ I totally sympathize with Saitou more... and I wish that Sano would grow to have more affection towards Saitou... Reading Sano's POV changed my view of the story a bit... because I had believed that Sano wanted Saitou... not to test him, but to have him. Sano's POV changes my whole perception.. but it's still a GREAT story. =) please don't end it here.. I think this fic can go on, until they meet each other again..

I can't really find myself sympathising *more* or *less* with either character -humm. In different ways.

That's a really sweet moment, and I love it. Understated, as well, which is definately a good thing. ^^* I'm listening to a sappy song, don't mind me.

I really like the job you did of Sanosuke (does that sound dirty? o0;;) too often people try to duplicate his mechanisms, and come across as blustering or irritated, instead of...oh, Sanosuke.

kick **! i love sanos pov!! i can really see him acting like that. damn, i love that anger and sense of revege that he has!! it serves saitou right, he cant ran away from every mistake. but, i do feel sorry for saitou too. he did seem like he regretted treating sano as he did. however, im more of a sano fan so im siding with him. both stories were wonderfull written, not one was OOC!! i cant wait till you start the series!! itll be interesting when sano finds saitou!when do you think you'll have it up as well as your other stories? i hope its soon!!

What only 5 questions? You must be tired! I was expecting something like this; I think this would be Sano's reactions and even his motive (even if I don't necessarily agree with him). I happen to really love the way you have made their interpretations of events different. Personally, I sympathize more with Saitou, here; but, I'll reserve judgement until I read the rest of the story *HINT HINT* . . .
