Very sweet that Duncan would do what Connor never could. I do like the way you characterize them and tie in past events with your stories.

I actually recognized you inspiration... (Unlike the rest of my family [who were totally uninterested] I went through the special features on my Endgame DVD. Connor's been doing the Christmas-tree thing since sometime in the 1800's [don't remember the exact line])

Nope, I don't recognize the inspiration. But I think this is a really good story. You should write a story where Duncan did adopt the two boys.
