This was the most amazing one-shot I ever read. It was so emotionally driven and it tore me up inside. I could feel both of their pain so heavily in my heart. I couldn't even take sides. Usually when people write fics, you end up thinking one is more right than the other and you sorta root for them. In this story, I just felt so bad for both of them. When Rory yelled at Luke in the diner, I was like give him hell Rory. Then when Patty cornered Lorelai, I was like you tell her Patty. I also loved Luke Ranting in the streets scaring little girls. I only wish Lorelai could have gone to pick up a cake at that precise moment. Jess was also great, and so in chracter. I love him giving Luke relationship advice. I'm not a big Jess fan, but he got points from me for that. They were both acting stupid, and I was glad to see Luke get off his rear and do something for a change. His passive-aggressive behavior just irks me to no end. And Lorelai's denial in equally annoying. I blame the entire town for them not getting together sooner. I think if they would have been left alone to discover their feelings for themselves, and not having it thrown in their face, they may have accepted more easily. Instead they don't want to be wrong and the town right, so they live in denial. So so sad! As for your ending, I can accept it. I'm more of a romantic. A nice kiss would have been nice. Even a romp in the coat room would have been great. It's ashame she didn't hide up in one of the rooms, where there was a bed. For as long as this fic was, I thought you were going to bring them together in a very carnal way. It is still a great ending though, as I sit here a continue it in my head. I couldn't find anything wrong with this story at all. It kept me hanging on the edge of my seat the entire time. Very ansty. The longing I felt for these two was immessurable.

Wow this is an old story. I'm glad I found it. I love reading fic at 2:30 in the morning when I can't sleep. Thanks for taking me away from my own reality, if only for a little while.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. Those are the two words that first comes to mind after reading this story. Your writing style is terrific, and I really loved your story. I certainly hope you'll write some more L/L.

I'm crazy. Reviewing aproximately two years after you wrote this, and if it wasn't the most AMAZING story I have ever read I probably wouldn't have, because it just makes me look like a weirdo. You depicted their characters perfectly, and everything seemed flowing and symbolic. I'm gonna read all of your stories, great original similes and metaphors too! Words dont describe this, so I won't go on forever, just keep it up!

So I'm in love with your writing. The main word in the reviews you've received seem to be "wow", and I completely agree with that... you have this amazing style that keeps me completely captivated. I think I almost love the writing itself more than the plot... you just have this great way of expressing yourself, and it's just so GOOD. I'd love to see more. Please keep writing.

Very strong. Visceral is the word I'd use. Liked it a lot. When you write something people respond to there's always a chant of 'More! More!' I'm a big believer in the short story--and in an author's personal evolution. You have to keep cranking them out, move on to the next one, try something new, it's how you hone your craft.

Good use of cannon details & characters. I also very much appreciated that you wrote Lorelai as a person--idiosyncratic to be sure--but not a lunatic dancing monkey, the way many fics have her.
