Ganheim 2009-07-06 . chapter 1Akane actually managed a bit of sympathy for the possibility that he was paying the price for something he hadn't even been aware of doing.
[Although that’s not highly likely, I think it’s within the realm of her character]
on with this, ne?"
[Unnecessary Japanese]
Anytime anyone ever told him not to be somewhere, not to do something, he would always take it as part insult, part challenge, and defy the instructions he had been given. This was no exception.
[That _is_ Ranma, most of the time]
the nurse showed him his newborn...
...kitten.
With a scream that could be heard throughout Nerima, Ranma tore out
of the delivery room.
[That is so…disturbing. I’m still trying to figure out if it’s a result of Shampoo’s Jusenkyo curse or something else…]
one wonders how often the tribe might have run afoul of the PRC's 'one family, one child' policy)
[It’s not popular among _any_ of the peoples of China, really, as it goes against the typical ‘large family’ ethic inherent in the history and cultures]
I had to use that old "You-got-me-pregnant-while-you-were-in-neko-ken-mode" trick again (I should copyright that by now ^_^;;)
[That’s an old one? I’d never heard of it before]
Y'know, after that, Laughing Target doesn't seem half bad anymore...
[I’ll have to check that out. This was concise and creepy, but by no means bad. Of course, I have to point out that a plot hole remains in that I’d think if Shampoo was impregnated in her cat form that she’d have remembered that – and that’s the impression I get (Shampoo was pregnant and that’s why they got Ranma to marry her, but then there’s the question of how Ranma would think he got her pregnant later if that was how they got him to agree…)]
That was so odd, that I'm _still_ not entirely sure what to think. Fair job, though. |
