It didn't seem OOC to me. If she felt that she would not be able to carry out her job, and would endanger the Hellsing organization, she would die in a heartbeat.

WOW. Anyone else would have had Integra terribly out of character in a fic like this, but this was amazing. It sounded just like her, and just like Alucard, too...absolutely fantasic job. I give it a ten out of ten

yes that does sound like how integra would like to die to me. but how old was she? and why didn't she have an heir?

What a fascinating perspective on her character! You say in the notes at the end that this might be OOC, but I don't think that's the case. In fact, while I agre with you that she'd probably fight on to the bitter end, there is still a great deal of pride in the Hellsing family, bred into them, that would make her want to have a dinified death. Also, if she contined to fade, the temptation to take his blood would grow stronger and stronger... Really, really interesting.

Best thing I've read in ages. Your characterisations, as far as I can tell, are on the dot. (I find myself wondering what happens after the end of this story, and for some reason, I can't picture it. Vampires are immortal, but really, I can't imagine what on earth Alucard would do after this.)
