Unusual, but very enjoyable.

(I've been reading archived fictions, working my way backward to the very first one. Almost there now! But as I said, this is one of the better ones, I think.)

I found the Master to be boring as an adversary during the Anthony Ainley period (4th - 7th Doctors) because he never grew as a personality - a real mustache-twirler of a villain. It's interesting to see a story where he finally allows himself to begin healing - and subsequently evolve as a person. Who's to say that it's impossible? If the Doctor could conceivably become evil (the Valeyard), why couldn't the Master reform?

Sappy as maple syrup! _ While I find it just the slightest bit cliche, it still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.

I loved it! this is wonderful story- I'm always a sucker for happy endings. -)
