I just stumbled across this fic, and I have to say that I love it! I love it when you think something, then BAM! plot twist. And *yay* Rocketshippyness. The only critism I have to say is that next time you should separate the paragraphs with spaces. Me, being spastic and easily distracted, found myself losing my place sometimes. But other than that, awesome story!

When Meowth came back with help, Jessie didn't hear Misty's cries or notice Ash's and Brock's respect by ridding themselves of their hat and bowing their head. When Officer Jenny tried to take James from her, her sweet, loving James, she looked up at her with an unholy fierceness and clutched him to her.

She looked down at his grotesque face, but saw perfection and his beautiful smile. She smiled back down at him and placed her forehead against his, not feeling the coldness of it, "Everything will be alright, James," she whispered, "you'll see."

That part of the fic was one of the most beautifully sad things I have ever read. Seriously, it's perfect. It had me in tears - the sort that make your face go all red and goofy looking. XD But anyhow... I loved this fic. Glad it was all a dream. Realised that after James' death, but hey. T'was astounding, and I loved it! D Maybe you could write another Rocketshippy story one day if you ever decide to come back into fanfiction...? 5/5 *faves*

I found your story on the Classics page and I must say it's terrific. I have always felt that the only real family Jessie and James have is each other and your exploration of their often confusing relationship made that perfectly clear. It's a well-written character study.
