I am seriously impressed. I was completely drawn in to the plot and I am still trying to comprehend how something this good could be extrapolated from Minesweeper... Genius, really. This would be the base plot for Sunglasses: The Movie, yes? Haha...

Oh wow, nice! I was wondering if there were any minesweeper fanfictions that were actually any good, looks like I found one!

This is miserably sad, hopeless, and hopeful at the same time... I really want a happier ending, even though it might diminish the poignancy a bit. :( But it was really good.

However, I will never be able to play a game of Minesweeper again without feeling sad. Thanks a lot. :)

I saw this mentioned on someone's LJ when they were arguing about various things and one person made the point that if a serious fic could be written about Minesweeper (of all things) then it was entirely possible for other genres! I, of course, clicked the link to this fic that was helpfully provided and have spent the last hour or so thoroughly enjoying this fic!

I never thought I would read a fic about Minesweeper (didn't even realized there WERE fics about it!) that had characterization and an intriguing plot line, but you have indeed done it!

OMG I found this story again!

I read it back when there was just one chapter and loved it. Who knew that such a story could come from such a game? And then I remembered this and have finally succeeded in finding your story only to realize that there was MORE! And it was AWESOME! :) This is a review, I really should be coherent and offer some sort of critique (sections could be longer) but ah, this story is just so cool! It really makes you think; that whole life is but a bigger game thing! Even with number character smileys I still felt emotionally connected to the characters, and this story is just so interesting and I LOVED it! So thank you so much for writing this, and making it the story that it became now!

I still can't believe you managed to make an amazingly deep Minesweeper story. Once again, I commend you.
