You see, you've chosen to take up Nakago's part BEFORE he does anything "evil" in the minds of the Fushigi Yuugi audience. You've already saved Miaka from the potential beating that he was supposed ta give her (first proof given to the FY audience that this man is "the bad guy"). Which MEANS that you could (or, quite possibly, Nuriko could)"save" his character from doing things that will make the other characters (and audience) hate him. Which means that you have the chance to write a better story for the poorly misunderstood shogun.
I mean, according to the storyline, Nakago has already been lying to Yui-chan, which means that he's already started his path to world domination, but I think that if he learned that there are ppl out there who could care for him, forgive and sympathise with him, then maybe he won't need to carry out that plot. This fic could be an optimistic AU for Nakago. And the possible pairing implied here could prove to be interesting as well. After all, I do belive that Nakago needs someone warm and caring for him to heal the wounds deep down (i mean, damn! He never really got to know his mother fer crying out lound. no wonder he went off the edge...).
Now, be it known that I'm a Nuriko fan so if you write good stuff for for Nakago you have to write a good part for Nuriko as well ^_^
