I had to blink away tears just now.
I think this would have to be one of you stories that has touched me so deeply. I could understand Marina's motives and feelings, and I found it so easy to sympathize and relate with her. Cause I know what it's like to live in someone's shadow. And I know what it's like to find the someone or something that helps you step out from behind them.

Thank you so much for this beautiful tale. The imagery was beautiful and the characters so believable. It's amazing how in a world filled with shapeshifters, witches, dragons and vampires (to name some) that you are able to create such an amazing, realistic human. I seriously suggest that you consider writing another story, or maybe tweaking an existing one a bit, and sending it off to a publisher or two. I'm dead serious. The way you write is absolutely fantastic.
Thanks a billion for giving these amazing gifts of yours out to the world and having the courage to post these stories at the risk of laying yourself bare for criticism.

Yay, I am so glad that you finished this story. It's so beautiful. I like how quiet the ending was with Raith and Marina. It's not all passionate kisses and "I'll love you forever". You just leave them in a good place with hope for the future.. it was very sweet and very real. Just perfect! :) You are amazing, amazing.. but I suspect you know that already. ;)

Wow. I don't know if the story was meant to finish there- with unknown thoughts racing through Marina's mind and Sally somewhere in the void- but the ending leaves you to wonder, to imagine, to think if Raith could have been looking for her, that Kav and Nate and everyone else are the same- and that I identify with Marina like few other characters can ever reach me, hazy around the edges but perfectly defined.

gawd its been forever since...why is it that of all your amazing epics, I only get heart pangs for this one? (well, and the Cougar/Ria soulmates, natch) Hope you'll find the time to continue in between work and the rushbusy of life. you are quality.

Had I forgotten to review this chapter? Wow, I have become so remiss of my duties... but it was good! I'm sort of feeling really sorry for Raith, though. Being scarred is bad enough, but being scarred for all eternity? *Winces* Reminds me of Asher from Laurell K. Hamilton's books. Yeah, I know, I'm such a loser, I read her books... ^^;
