This is a wonderful story and a completely different slant on the challenge - well done.

I like the reflective qualities, the idea of Severus reminicsing the past and how he came to love Hermione.

For so few words, this has a wonderfully compact tempo and fairly oozes love, tenderness and the idea of peace and family.

This draft's even better, your description is---as it was before---wonderful and I keep replaying the scene in my mind. Truly captivating and brilliant.

What can I say. Beautifully writen.... it's hard to get pieces that aren't crap on this site, and this is one of the few pieces where the writer has talent.
