i like it but it definetly needs to go further. the end is kind of sudden. A next chapter would be nice.

And great story! I love your standalones, and screw anyone who doesn't read and review them! How much do I just want Syd and Vaughn to get together? Although, on the other hand, then we'd all be deprived of all of this lovely I-love-her/him-but-can't-have-her/him angst... Hmmm. Angst? Love? Angst? Love?... I can't decide. I guess I'll go with angst and just wait for your next work. :)

I enjoy reading your stories, even the ones that are a little pointless, but I would love to offer a few items of constructive criticism:

Don't waste your time with the song lyrics. Not only do most people not read them, most people don't care... all they do is interrupt the flow of your story.

Don't inject author's notes into the middle of your story. The beginning and end is fine -- uninterested parties can just skip them -- but when I'm reading your story I want to hear about the characters, not the author. No offense, but I don't care what you want for Christmas or what movies you like.

You might want to try to have a point more often. Even if your story's only a single scene that spans five minutes in the character's lives, it should tell us something about them. Or, at very least, you might want to explain how current circumstances came about.... like how it's possible for Vaughn and Sydney to be necking in public. And that's one you need a good, valid explanation for... if it were as simple as taking a weekend road trip out of LA or something, they'd have done it on the show by now.

And FYI, Kendall -- the taller and younger of the bald-headed men, played by genre staple Terry O'Quinn -- is the one we're seeing more frequently on the show now. He's FBI... he was the one who arrested Sydney and had her held after they found the Rimbaldi picture. Devlin is the CIA director-type, who is Vaughn's boss... we've seen him quite a bit, but mostly he's around at CIA headquarters, and it's Kendall in charge of the big facility where they're holding Irina.

Sorry, but I fail to see the point of this story.
