Well, well, well, what we have here is a person who strongly dislikes FFIX. Hey, I'm not critizing you, far from it. Personall, I didn't like FFIX, it was Square's attempt to revive some of the 'magic', if you will, from the earlier FF's, which it did suceed with, though only moderately. I have played FFIX, and have finished it, and found it was rather easy. I admit, I had spent a lot of time leveling up my characters and such, so the battles were a lot easier. The characters, well, Vivi reminded me of that magic user in He-Man, Orko, or one of the Jawas from Star Wars. Steiner, heh, should be called Sir Rustalot, and for the main male and female leads...Let's not open that can of worms, yes?

But, in defense of the author here, this site is about people writing their OWN stories, with characters from games,anime, etc, they enjoy. Everyone has their own opinion on what they consider to be the best and worst FF. For the record, FF VI is my second favourite (FF IV ousted it from the top) and FF Mystic Quest is my most hated. FFIX, however is third from the bottom, only beating FF X, only just.

GO TO HELL! How can you say that about FFIX? FUCK FFVI the gameplay sucks, the plot is ridiculously stupid and so twisted that it made Sephiroth looks straight and forward! And Rinoa is an annoying defencelss and practically spoilt!

WHAT THE HELL! FFIX was far superior to FFVIII, dumbass! FFVIII had the worst plot in Final Fantasy history! Frankly, out of all of the many Final Fantasy fans I know, not one picked FFVIII as their favorite, yet they all did pick it as the worst FF ever. Yet, despite FFX's coming out, around a quarter of the FF fans I know chose FFIX as their favorite. Think a bit more before choosing to piss off countless people, dumbass!

I am sorry, but I have to put my two cents in because I have to defend my most favirote game! For one, the playability was so much better than ff8 in the button availability, and the graphics in my opinion were a whole lot better. I mean, I liked ff8's graphics, but the truth is, that's all it had going for it. In the hype department, it was advertised a whole lot more than ff8 ever hoped to be. The reason that ff9's hype with action figures was low was because of the fact that ff8's storyline had so many twists and turns that half the time you couldn't understand it, and left people to think that Final Fantasy was on its way out. Now on to the characters. ZIDANE TRIBAL IS SUCH A HOTTIE AND EXPRESSES HIMSELF A LOT BETTER THAN SQUALL EVER HOPED TO. THE REASON HE ACTED THE WAY HE DID WAS BECAUSE OF SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST TO HIM. AND TO DISS DAGGER? SHE WASN'T AS NEEDY OR SLUTTY AS RINOA MADE HERSELF OUT TO BE! SHE HAD A BACKBONE, UNLIKE RINOA WHO WHINED AND WAS JUST ANNOYING! Sorry about that, but that just had to come out. Besides, overall, FF9 was the best in my opinion, just because it was better in every aspect. The storyline was great, and don't get me started on FF8's storyline. It had so many plotholes you could probably fall through them. Final Fantasy 9 was a great way to move from the PSX to the PS2. FF8 was the one that was lacking.

Yep, FF9 has to be pretty lame and d*** easy, and the end boss had nothing to do with the overall game. I mean they coulden't even give Kuja a tougher form like they did with the ever-awesome Sephiroth - what a letdown! I sympathize with you! I do however like some of the fmvs though.

XD Bravo bravo! I personally thought 9 was good for newbies of RPGs but it was a total slap in the face to real gamers! Come ON! It was so easy my blind sister could beat it! The graphics were, no doubt, amazing but who the f cares about a stupid fancy airship! FF7's choppy graphics mystified me more because at least they had depth and scenery and you could TELL Sephie was a MAN! What the hell is Kuja's deal? Maybeline much? FFX is amazing... but FF8 will always be my fave! *-*
