Note on chapter three kel got over her fear of Hight as a Page

Even though this has been finished for, frankly, a while, I feel that I should tell you this i an amazing story. :D You have got Tamora Pierce's characters' personalities down perfectally and your own characters are very well made up. I usually don't reread fanfics, but i probably WILL reread this one and my friends will as well. (I also read Ripples and thought it was astoundingly awesome too.) Anywho I just thought you should know how awesome you are. XD

I loved it, somehow, I started reading A lady's shield before this. And I'm a little confused, does Ryan still love Kel, or does he love Andrea? Cause, Andrea went to the underworld to get him, so I'm not quite sure... Please update a Lady's Shield, I love Pip, she is hilarious! I'm kinda glad Neal and Pip aren't a couple, because I do like Yuki too... Hopefully she'll find someone else! I don't know if I'm going to really want to read Bruna's story, I don't like her, but maybe if I do read it, I might like her better?

I read this AFTER a lady's shield, and I really love it.

Ryan and Andrea are so incredibly cool, and I think that this is an incredibly well written story. I like it how you have written long chapters, because most fanfictions have short ones, but long ones make it seem more like an actual book.

I was led here when you mentioned in the beginning of 'a lady's shield' that it is a sequel to this and boy, was I glad. I'm very eager to start reading that one but I feel guilty if I don't review.

First off, great story! It was original, with very cool new characters who aren't mary sues and the storytelling was superb. Moreover, you've made up some interesting background for Tortall and all and I simply *love* Jademirth! Its 'Ah, dessert' comment cracked me up. XD

Anyway, Pip is a very cool character, and yay for her sequel. And wow, there's so much good stuff in this story that I don't know where to start. Just know that it's a great fic and you're a very good writer.

i really enjoyed this story! at first i was a bit unsure, cause you really shook tp's world up and introduced some crazy new ideas, but the story itself was so interesting and fun to read that i kept going, and i'm really glad i did. great character creation and development, and beautiful language, apart from a few grammar and spelling errors. i LOVE kel/ryan, and pip is such a well thought out and fun character! very original, ive never read a story like this one. cant wait to read the sequel!

I realize this story is long-finished, but I'm finding myself compelled to review-something I generally avoid when my comments all revolve around a mere "Good Job"...but wow.

I have trouble finding good, long fics in the Tortall era that are not only long, but of good quality. I'm amazed! This is the very best I have seen. You could make a career as an author, if you can match the quality of this fic to another of your original characters, really! At any rate, I really wanted to let you know what talent you have, and the number of reviews you've got shows that people ust agree with me! You're amazing (my hero for doing such a great job!), and I really can't wait to see another of your fics.

Wow. Nightworld and Tortall- you've managed to excel in two of my favorite series. Original characters and the usual suspects are all portrayed just right. Andrea, Ryan, and Pippa are all interesting and not too perfect, Kel is herself, and the small mentions of past events are perfect. Brilliant, as if you've ever produced anything else
