Lovely characterization. I loved the scene in the worried, because to any R/H shipper it would be so sweet and cute, but H/H shippers could use it to their advantage. This story is just so cute and so accurate of pre-teenage feelings.

At first, I was really ** off by The Handshake. I was sitting in the middle of the theater -- with a little kid kicking the back of my seat, a group of girls still giggling over Dobby, and watching what I felt was a bit of a butcher's job of the book (but I'm fairly critical of those book-to-movie things) -- and I wanted to explode at Warner Brothers and Columbus, and whatever ** wrote the screen play for completely screwing with the ending scene of Chamber of Secrets and adding something that looked minutely like H/Hr shippage.

Of course, then I remembered when I was twelve and couldn't hardly look at a boy I had a crush on without melting into some sort of giggling twit right there on the spot . . . and, well, all the boys were still convinced that girls had cooties. =D Then, it did not seem so bad. Less H/Hr shippage and more R/Hr shippage with a load of cuteness.

And, now that I think about it, I liked the scene, entirely (until they delved into the whole of the school cheering on Hagrid in some sort of weird kind of Happily Ever After ending, there, as it was a bit overdone in the classic Hollywood style of things).

So, getting on to the actual reviewing of things (can you tell that I'm sitting in the middle of school with no one remotely intelligent to speak with, so I'm pouring all my thoughts into this piece of feedback?) . . . I *love* your fic -- most especially how you crossed the book version and the movie version of the scene. Because, naturally, I just feel that the movies lack a lot of what the book has, and sometimes the movie adds a bit of cuteness that we all wish had been injected into certain scenes of the book. =D

And, having read the scene from your point of view, I can now see it happening more readily than when I first saw it on opening day and wanted to go into a berserker-esque rage at anything and everything that had to do with the creation of the film (that whole fading out on Ron and focusing on Harry thing *really* got my blood boiling!) . . . so, now I'm calm enough and reasonable enough to want to go out and buy Chamber of Secrets when it comes out on DVD April 11th and delve into the book, again. =D

So cute! I love it! The Handshake {yup I capitalize it too lol} is my favourite part out of both HP movies. I really appreciate it more in writing. And since r/h is the best ship ever and they are just meant for each other, this has become one of my favourite fics! lol. Okay, I'll be going now ^_^

Wow, you are such a great author. I love how you took such a small scene and turned into a fic. In fact, I love your writing style altogether. Although I have to admit that it will take me awhile to wade through all 122 of your stories. Oh well! At least I'll be able to waste my time reading great fanfiction instead of mind-numbingly boring stuff. Another great story!

I remember all too well the first time I saw 'Chamber of Secrets'. First I glared at Harry for "holding" Hermione's hand, then I yelled at the movie when Harry was the first one to smile when Hermione returned, and practically died when Ron and Hermione shook hands instead of hugged. I laughed in a half crazed manner while exclaiming, "That's so cute! How can you think they WOULDN'T make a great couple!?" Of course, it was more of a shout/whisper thing so I don't think the entire theater heard me. It did, however, make me extrodinarily happy, because I am an avid R/Hr shipper. So Huzzah! You have just become my new favorite person!

Man, I'm talking a whole bunch, and probably frightening you in the process.so I'll just intelligently stop the review before mental scarring ensues.
