I get the image of the future of this fic having either the Federation or the Pirates showing up in a few years to acquire Metroids only to find Samus flanked by an army of them and immediately going, "Screw this." and fleeing SR388 and never coming back.

This is an awesome story. I love how well you've brought Samus's humanity out in this. Seems like a lot of people forget she's a thinking, feeling individual rather than a heartless killing machine. I absolutely loved how she snuck in the Metroid. She doesn't seem much like the maternal type, but it fits with a baby Metroid. I can't wait to see more.

Well done, I would say, though I'm not quite sure what is happening in the present. Maybe I've just been out of touch with this story for a while and need to refresh myself on it. The flashback scene was well done as well. Keep up the good work.
